This is a Fantasy Fiction. The tale of an adventurous young girl, soon to emerge into adulthood, taking one last adventure while she can. I hope that wasn't a spoiler. This is chapter 1. I will periodically add chapters as I finish them.

I decided not to use this ending because I didn't want to bend the needle on Nick's moral compass (too much) or muddy the character relationships.

Tattooed Canary has been started, and I am several chapters in. I'm keeping the first-person view as I did with Dance Noir. I want you, the reader, to have the same information and clues as Nick does, except for the very first chapter. I'm taking a different approach here, but don't worry; it won't give you more usable information than Nick, and it won't leave the detective in the dark.

The next Nick Gazelle case. Another Dame, another villain, another dead body. A working concept only at this time, but the series will continue.

Extinction Event is a novel of an apocalyptic nature. It's about a discovery that, once unearthed, may very well destroy civilization as we know it. I don't even know quite where it's going yet. This is the first novel I began to write, even before Beach Comers. I've put a lot of time into the story already: 9 chapters and 21,000 words. Still, there is much more work to be done. Maybe I will get back to this, or more likely, I will start editing it chapter by chapter and posting it here.
